Filming in Khiva: An Open-Air Film Set
Concluding their visit to the historical cities of Uzbekistan, representatives from Next Field International visited the unique museum-city of Khiva in the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan.
Khiva is an astonishing place where film and television production can unfold directly within the city's historical walls. What also distinguishes it from other museum-cities is that it's a living city; at least a hundred families still reside within its historic walls. Employees of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan organized an interesting program for Next Field International, including visits to historical monuments in Khiva and the Khorezm region.
Next Field International met with the Deputy Mayor of Khiva, Mr. Khursand Allaberganov. Together, the parties discussed the city's potential for international film and television companies.
The visit was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
